The papaya juice with oranges is a delicious and refreshing beverage and also a great option to replace the energy burned in sports practices.

Just half of a Papaya contains at least 50% of our daily vitamin C requirement, with the advantage of being a fruit virtually free of fats and calories.

The papaya with an increased amount of spots of “freckles” on the skin is rich in Vitamin C

A recent study conducted by Caliman Agricola S/A in partnership with UENF (Universidade Estadual do Norte Fluminese) has scientifically proven that the papaya has spots on its peel, are richer in vitamin C than spotless papayas, which are already high in vitamin C.

The research was coordinated by Prof. Karla Silva Ferreira, who affirmed in that study that the spots or freckles found in some papayas do not represent diseases or damages in the fruits. On the contrary, those spots represent a larger concentration of ascorbic acid (vitamin C).

Those Caliman Papayas with an increased amount of freckles carry the “Leopard Papaya” sticker, which emphasizes the important nutritional aspects of the Caliman Papayas. Besides all the benefits already known, the papaya consumption with freckles elevates the amount of vitamin C absorbed by the organism.
